Tomsk Polytechnic University has an efficient system of career support for graduates. Every year the demand for TPU specialists is 2-3 times higher than the number of graduates. For some majors (for example, nuclear engineers, power engineers, chemists) there are 5-7 applications from employers per each graduate. TPU graduates have a high qualification, and more than 90% of them find a job either during their studies or after graduation.

In order to facilitate the transition to the work process, TPU organizes practical training and internships for students in leading industrial companies in Russia and other countries. Many students receive job offers from potential employers after completing their internships.

Graduating students have access to a database of job offers from companies. TPU is a supporting university for many of the country's leading state corporations and companies, including Gazprom, Gazprom Neft, Rosatom, Surgutneftegaz, Reshetnev ISS, SO UES, and Rosseti. Our graduates are employed by such major companies as Rostec State Corporation, RSC Energia, Kamaz, Transneft, ALROSA, Sibur Holding, Rosneft Oil Company, and others.

TPU is one of the core universities of PJSC Gazprom. Over the past ten years, more than 650 graduates of the university have been hired by Gazprom companies, and more than 100 university professors have completed internships at Gazprom companies.

TPU is also a core university of Rosatom State Corporation. With Rosatom's support, TPU has created a number of international nuclear education programs. Students from more than 20 countries have studied in these programs. Among them are Egypt, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Bolivia, Ghana and many others.
